Cheers! Engel is opening a new facility near Stuttgart, Germany

Southwest Germany is a manufacturing hub, and Engel is launching a new facility in Baden-Württemberg, near Stuttgart.

The new facility will be ENGEL AUSTRIA’s fourth site in Germany – and its focus will set it apart from the company’s other branches, located in Nuremberg, Hagen and Hanover.

This center, which is expected to be open by the end of 2012, will be a technology forum, concentrating on innovations and future trends.  Customers will be able to access technical training at this new information and communications hub for the injection molding industry in southern Germany.

New system solutions and technologies will be showcased throughout the year in Stuttgart, not just during trade fairs; the new center will also invite clients to take part in technological forums and workshops on a regular basis. The main technological emphasis will be on aspects of lightweight construction, automation and energy efficiency. One staff member will be exclusively assigned to providing advice on energy to customers in southwest Germany.

The center is located in Wurmberg, close to the A8 motorway to the west of Stuttgart.

Here’s a pic of ENGEL leaders at the construction site: Claus Wilde (second left), branch manager of the ENGEL Deutschland GmbH Technologieforum Stuttgart, with Frank Weidle (responsible for training and application technology at the ENGEL Deutschland Technologieforum Stuttgart), mayor Jörg-Michael Teply and Peter Haas, divisional manager at HABAU (left to right).
